Our Mission

We aim to establish a respite centre in Spain—a welcoming environment where Graves' disease sufferers from the UK can connect with others facing similar challenges while learning effective exercise and dietary strategies to manage their symptoms.

Our Current Initiatives

Citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons, and limes provide numerous health benefits that can be particularly beneficial for managing autoimmune disorders. Their rich nutrient profile supports overall health, which is essential for individuals with autoimmune conditions like Graves' disease. Our existing orchard in Spain, situated directly along the River Ebro, boasts a flourishing array of well-developed orange and mandarin trees. We now plan to expand our production by adding more lemon and lime trees.

Plants and herbs offer natural alternatives to conventional medications for autoimmune disorders. Their properties often include anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immune-modulating effects, which can help alleviate symptoms and enhance overall well-being for individuals with autoimmune conditions, such as Graves' disease. Therefore, in addition to our existing agricultural efforts, we plan to cultivate a diverse range of plant and herb species known to relieve symptoms, providing sufferers with effective options for using natural alternatives to traditional medications.

Honey has been recognized for centuries in traditional medicine for its wound-healing properties. Modern scientific research confirms that it possesses antimicrobial qualities that inhibit the growth and survival of various pathogens. Its complex composition allows honey to attack bacteria through multiple pathways, which helps explain why microbes rarely develop resistance to it, unlike conventional antibiotics. Additionally, honey is a nutrient-rich food source that may offer potential therapeutic benefits for individuals with autoimmune disorders. For this reason, we plan to raise bees to harvest honey specifically for distribution to those suffering from Graves' disease.
